FirstCloud Vietnam guides your business through every phase of cloud migration β from initial assessment and architecture design to zero-downtime cutover and 30-day hypercare. We migrate to AWS, Azure, and GCP with full compliance for Vietnam's data protection requirements.
Our cloud migration service is fully managed from day one β no hidden extras, no gaps in coverage.
A thorough audit of your existing infrastructure, applications, and dependencies. We identify migration complexity, data volumes, compliance constraints, and produce a total cost of ownership (TCO) comparison between on-premises and cloud options.
A phased, prioritised migration plan with defined milestones, rollback procedures, resource requirements, and timeline estimates. We categorise every workload by migration strategy β retire, retain, lift & shift, re-platform, or re-architect β and schedule accordingly.
We migrate production workloads without service interruption using live synchronisation, blue-green deployment strategies, and database replication. Cutovers are planned for low-traffic windows and are fully reversible within the first 48 hours.
Every migration includes Identity and Access Management (IAM) hardening, network security group configuration, encryption at rest and in transit, and alignment with Vietnam's Cybersecurity Law and PDPA. We deliver a compliance sign-off document post-migration.
We right-size compute resources, implement auto-scaling, configure Reserved and Savings Plan pricing, and eliminate unused infrastructure from day one. Clients typically see 30β50% reduction in infrastructure spend compared to on-premises operations.
30 days of dedicated hypercare support with daily check-ins, performance monitoring, rapid incident response, and team training. We ensure your team is confident managing the new environment before transitioning to standard support arrangements.
We recommend the right strategy based on your workload characteristics, timeline, and budget β often a combination of all three.
Move existing workloads to cloud infrastructure with minimal changes. Your applications run on virtual machines in the cloud exactly as they did on-premises β with immediate benefits of cloud scalability, billing flexibility, and managed hardware.
Migrate with targeted optimisations that leverage cloud-native capabilities without a full application rewrite. Replace self-managed databases with managed services, move to container-ready architectures, and adopt cloud-native monitoring and logging.
A full transformation of your application to cloud-native architecture. Break monoliths into microservices, implement serverless compute, adopt managed data services, and rebuild with modern development patterns for maximum scalability and resilience.
A structured, risk-managed approach to moving your business to the cloud.
Infrastructure audit, application dependency mapping, data classification, compliance review, and TCO analysis. Output: a comprehensive migration readiness report with prioritised workload list.
Cloud architecture design, landing zone setup, network topology, IAM structure, and security baseline configuration. We present a detailed design document and gain stakeholder sign-off before any migration begins.
We migrate a non-production workload as a pilot to validate the process, tooling, and network connectivity. This de-risks the full migration and confirms the rollback procedures work correctly before production traffic is involved.
Phased migration of production workloads in waves, prioritised by business criticality and dependency chains. Each wave includes pre-migration testing, live data synchronisation, cutover execution, and immediate post-cutover validation.
Daily stand-ups with your team, proactive monitoring, rapid issue resolution, cost optimisation tuning, and knowledge transfer sessions. We don't hand over and disappear β we stay close until your team is fully confident.
We work with the leading cloud platforms and migration tooling to ensure the right approach for every workload.
It depends on the size and complexity of your environment. A small business with 5β10 servers can complete a migration in 4β6 weeks. A mid-market enterprise with 50β200 workloads typically takes 3β6 months. Large enterprise environments with complex dependencies, mainframe systems, or strict compliance requirements may take 6β12 months. During our initial assessment, we provide a detailed timeline based on your specific situation β not a generic estimate.
For most workloads, we achieve zero downtime using live data replication and blue-green cutover strategies. The actual cutover window β when DNS or load balancer settings switch traffic β typically takes minutes and is scheduled during your lowest-traffic period (usually 2β4am). Some legacy database migrations may require a brief maintenance window of 15β60 minutes, which we plan and communicate well in advance. We never cut over without a tested rollback plan.
The right choice depends on several factors: your existing software stack (Microsoft shops often benefit from Azure), your data and analytics requirements (GCP excels here), your application workload profile (AWS has the broadest managed service ecosystem), and your budget. For most Vietnamese enterprises, AWS ap-southeast-1 provides the best combination of local latency, service breadth, and ecosystem support. We provide a cloud platform recommendation as part of our assessment β and we're not commercially incentivised to push any single vendor.
Data protection is central to our migration process. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 on all target cloud storage. We use dedicated, private network connections (AWS Direct Connect or Azure ExpressRoute) where available rather than public internet transfer for sensitive data. Our team signs NDAs before accessing any client data, and we follow a documented data handling policy. We can also accommodate requirements for data to remain within Vietnam using locally compliant cloud regions.
Every migration we execute has a documented rollback plan that is tested before production cutover. In the event of a critical issue post-cutover, we can revert to the original on-premises environment within 30β60 minutes for most workloads. Our original infrastructure remains intact for a minimum of 30 days after migration β we don't decommission anything until you're satisfied. Our team is on-call during and immediately after every cutover event, with escalation procedures clearly defined and communicated to your team.
Vietnam's Cybersecurity Law (LuαΊt An ninh mαΊ‘ng) and Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on personal data protection require certain categories of data β particularly data of Vietnamese citizens collected by domestic organisations β to be stored on servers located within Vietnam. All three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) are building or have announced local Vietnam infrastructure. In the interim, we design architectures that keep regulated data within the AP-Southeast region while ensuring latency meets your operational requirements. We also work with VNPT, Viettel IDC, and CMC Telecom data centres for fully on-shore options where required.
